Notice of 2019 JAFSE annual symposium

Date: May 25-26, 2019

Venue: Nishiwaseda Campus, Waseda University, 3-4-1 Ookubo, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, 169-8555, JAPAN (https://www.waseda.jp/top/en/access/nishiwaseda-campus)

Registration Fee (for joining meeting): members 3,000 yens, non-members 5,000 yens, students 1,000 yens

Proceedings: to be distributed on site at 5,000 yens (students discount 2,500 yens)


Call for papers – 2019 JAFSE annual symposium

Deadline of oral presentation: March 4, 2019 at 17:00

Deadline of poster and animated presentation: March 15, 2019 at 17:00

Download paper format and manuscripts should be submitted electronically, through the login button at the symposium web page (https://www.i-product.biz/jafse/en/)

In addition to ordinary oral sessions, poster, animated presentation and organized sessions are being planned.

Ordinary sessions:

One of the authors makes an oral presentation in 15 minutes including discussion. Two pages of paper must be included in proceedings. The authors can choose session category for presentation. Details are given in registration from website.

Organized sessions:

For specific topics, special session will be planned. The applicant for organized session must submit 4 pages of paper. Presentation and discussion time will be extended. The proposed topics are:

(OS1) Recent car fires

(OS2) Crowd flow 


Poster session:

Presentation and discussion will be made in front of poster panel. One or Two pages of paper must be included in proceedings.

 Animated presentation session:

Animated presentation and discussion will be made with author’s personal computer. PC projectors will be provided in the presentation room. One or Two pages of paper must be included in proceedings and could be same one for oral or poster presentation.


Notice for Authors

(1)  Submitted paper must be presented at the meeting by one of the authors.

(2)  Speaker must be a member of JAFSE.

(3)  At the meeting, PC projector will be provided. But you must prepare personal computer yourself.

(4)  Copyright of the published paper will be transferred from the author(s) to JAFSE.

The JAFSE Annual Symposium 2020 will be held on May 28 (Thursday) and 29 (Friday) at the Hirosaki Bunka Center, Hirosaki, Aomori.
You are invited to share your research with the leaders in the field of fire science and technology.
The technical program will consist of oral (general and organized sessions), poster, and video presentations.
The online submission system begins:           1pm, February 3 (Monday), 2020

AOSFST 2015, Call for Paper

The 10th Asia-Oceania Symposium on Fire Science and Technology (10th AOSFST) will be held on October 5-7, 2015 in Tsukuba, Japan.

The 10th AOSFST will include presentations of peer-reviewed papers, key-note lectures by fire researchers invited from the world and poster sessions for a variety of topics and some exciting events. Asia-Oceania region is among the areas where fire science and technology are developing most rapidly. We heartily invite your participation, not only from Asia-Oceania region but also from any regions in the world.
